We use materials we believe in

Timber

Accoya timber

For new and replacement windows, we use Accoya: a modified timber engineered for outstanding durability and stability. It’s produced from sustainably sourced softwood and treated through a non-toxic process that makes it resistant to rot, swelling, and shrinkage. Accoya is approved for use in listed buildings and conservation areas, and it holds paint beautifully. We are an accredited Accoya manufacturer.

Hardwood sashes

Our double-glazed replacement sashes are made from top-quality hardwood, chosen to match the weight and feel of the originals. Hardwood sashes sit and operate as they should, and they age well.

Glazing

FINEO vacuum glazing

FINEO is a vacuum glazing unit just 6.7mm thick. It’s the thinnest double glazing available and the only glazing system that can genuinely replicate single-glazed sash windows without altering the sight lines or the look. The vacuum between the panes gives exceptional thermal performance in a profile that’s conservation-approved and period-appropriate. We are accredited FINEO installers.

Heritage Glass double-glazed units

Our conservation-approved Heritage Glass units use krypton gas within the cavity to achieve a slim profile. The result looks like the original glass, while performing significantly better on heat retention and noise reduction.

Sealing and draught proofing

The Sashcraft Advanced Sealing System

We developed and patented our own draught and noise proofing system, used across all our renovation and sash replacement work. The Sashcraft Advanced Sealing System uses memory foam draught excluders that are fitted precisely into the window or door frame, to keep cold air and external noise out without compromising how the window operates. It’s one of the things that makes what we do genuinely different.

Repair Care International System

For timber restoration, we use the Repair Care International system: a professional-grade repair product that removes rotten wood and rebuilds the timber without the need for replacement. Used correctly, it gives repaired areas the same strength and paintability as sound wood.

Paints and finishes

Microporous paint

We finish all external joinery with a high-quality microporous paint. It is applied in up to three coats for uniform, resilient coverage. Microporous paint breathes with the timber, which means it doesn’t trap moisture underneath and is far less likely to crack or peel than conventional gloss. The result keeps looking good for years.

Fixtures and fittings

We fit Secured by Design window furniture as standard: lockable fittings and latches in solid brass or chrome. Every fitting is chosen for your home because it’s built well and looks right.
